Project Description

The Hub Pisgah. A bike shop geared towards adventure enthusiasts located in Asheville, North Carolina. Named by bicycling.com as a Top 100 Bike Shop in the country.

Challenge

The Hub Pisgah first approached Shift Digital in June 2012 to help with a website redesign and logo refresh. They worried that they were not getting traffic to their site, and weren’t providing customers with the information they needed in a clear, logical fashion. As one of the premiere bike shops in the Pisgah region, The Hub wanted their online brand to reflect their offline nature. They also wanted to increase awareness of The Hub brand and convey their extensive knowledge about cycling and bicycle repair.

Strategy

From the outset, Shift Digital worked closely with The Hub team to create a user friendly information architecture within their new website.

The Hub’s new website was custom designed to be visually stimulating, and to inspire users to learn more about bicycles and the Pisgah region. As well as providing a simple, intuitive interface, Shift Digital’s copy team created authoritative copy that was beneficial to users and search engines alike.
